  • “As Above, So Below” - The Alchemy of Indirect Oil Painting - Part 2: The Overpainting

Indirect oil painting is the scenic route to painting, in which the various processes are separated into distinct steps along the way, giving full attention to the purpose and potentials inherent in each stage.  Indirect painting can be used for realistic and imaginal work alike, and allows for a great deal of creativity to be expressed at each step of the process. This course will be broken down into two basic stages: Underpainting and Overpainting, though the indirect painting process can ultimately be developed into far more complex and sophisticated avenues to suit the individual desires of the artist.

This is not a completion-based course, but aims to provide a number of strategies for layering oil paint in a technically sound manner.

  • The Tattoo Collecting Podcast #29 with Ben Thomas

Here, we talk about tattoos from the collectors point of view. We’ll share advice for collectors, as well as our specific experiences from our own tattoo journeys. We want to prepare, and inspire other collectors.
